The West Virginia Gladiators Semi-Pro Football organization is a community-based team in north central West Virginia, organized with the hopes of bringing competitive semi-pro football to the area. We are committed to provide quality family entertainment through a competitive environment, in which amateur athletes may perform.
Our organization will strive to improve each year, and create a stable and exciting atmosphere for our players and for our fans. With the input of every member of our football family we are devoted to the success of our football program.
The West Virginia Gladiators Semi-Pro Football Team provides participants with the opportunity to continue to play competitive amateur football in an environment bound by sense of community pride, tradition, integrity, and mutual respect thereby encouraging personal growth, self-discipline, perseverance, and team commitment.
2008 West Virginia Gladiators
2008 Practice - Tues/Thurs
All interested players should attend.
Practice will be held at Sellaro Field (across from Crockett's Lodge in Star City) It's where the Evansdale Tigers Youth football practice.
Tuesday and Thursday @ 5:45pm. Practice will start @ 6:00pm SHARP!
Rain or Shine show up at the Intramural field. If weather is a problem we will go to Mon General Hospital for "chalk" talk and films. (see below for address)
Spread the word! Here is some information that is needed prior to the new 2008 season.
1. This year's team dues will be $50.00. (Everyone!!)
2. This year's uniform cost will be $200.00
Yes, That's a total of $250.00 for any new player.
3. Any player(s) that still owe(s) money to the WV Gladiators Organization, from the 2006/2007 season, will not be permitted to practice until their debt is paid in full.

PRACTICE (Outdoor and Indoor)
Indoor and Outdoor Practice Time!
Location: WVU SHELL Building, WVU Intramural Field or Pro Performance Rx Facility
TEAM MEETINGS will be held at Mon General Hospital(Hazel Ruby McQuan Conference Center) (Call for directions) Always bring playbook to practice. In case of bad weather we will schedule chalk talk. This will be made by the coaching staff prior to practice. Show up at the practice field first.

The USFA All-Star game was played on October 14th at 4:00p.m. The location for the game was at East Liverpool (OH) High School.
The Gladiator's (USFA Red Team) won 28-3 against the (USFA Blue Team)

Rich Maxwell #63 / #4 - Founder / Owner / General Manager / Director of Public Relations
I would like to thank everyone for all their help in getting the Gladiators started. One of my slogans this past year was that the "Players come first!" A team is not a team without it's players. No players, No Team. I will try my best to bring "FUN" back to football. I will continue to staff our organization with quality personnel that can be trusted to get the job done. I will continue to take on the role of General Manager of the Gladiatior Organization. I bring to the table 7 years of semi-pro experience with matters that concern running a team. Get ready for the ride of your life! Our second season in the USFA is just around the corner.
Lisa Maxwell - Owner / Financial Manager / Director of Advertising and Team Sales
Lisa's role, besides being the wife of the greatest football player ever, will be to manage the $$$. She will also perform double duty when she takes on the responsibility of Advertisement for the Gladiators. She will be responsible for Team Sales during home football games. Come check out what interesting items she has planned to sell during the home games. We are not just selling t-shirts and hats anymore!!!
Todd McMahan #80 - Director of Football Operations
Todd McMahan is the Director of Football Operations and will have administrative responsibilities within the organization. If you have any questions please give him a call.
Terrence Wiltshire #8 - Director of Player Operations
Terrence Wiltshire is the Director of Player Operations with the West Virginia Gladiators organization. One of Terrence's main responsibility within the organization will be developing and educating the young or first year players with what semi-pro football is all about. He will help players with questions about obtaining sponsorships and help with their adjustment to the Gladiator family. Terrence will assist the General Manager with player issues and concerns. Terrence's other responsibility within the organization will be recruiting talented athletes.
Jason Colson #24 - Director of Team Operations
Jason has been promoted to the position of Director of Team Operations. The main responsibilities for this position will be Community Services, Game Day Operations, and Team Sponsorships / Donations. He will also help players with their insurance needs. He will be also be asked to help with player recruitment.
Jerry Luzader #61 - Director of Team Development
Jerry Luzader is the teams Director of Team Development and his main responsibility will be to maintain a working relationship with our local television stations. His input and outside knowledge is crucial in helping this organization to succeed.
Dusty Gwinn #45 - Director of Legal Services
Dusty Gwinn is a Lawyer and is the teams Director of Legal Services. Dusty is dedicated and will do whatever it takes to bring success to our Gladiator Organization.
Tim Koon #69 - Director of Multi-Media Services
Tim Koon is the teams Director of Multi-Media Services and his main responsibility will be to maintain and organize gameday filming. His input and outside knowledge with IT / Computers is crucial in helping this organization to succeed.
Marcus Brooks #18 - Director of Marketing
Marcus has been named the teams Director of Marketing and his main responsibility will be to get the Gladiator name out there!!!! Due to a serious injury, JD Miller who previous held the position will not be able to perform this duty and the BOD appointed Marcus to take over the duties of the Marketing Director.
Willie Cunningham - Head Coach
Willie Cunningham is the Gladiator Head Coach. Willie has years of football experience playing at WVU and the Canadian Football League. Willie has played Semi-pro football for teams in New York and West Virginia. As a respected team leader and captain of last years squad he was asked to fill in and take the role of Head Coach.
G.L. Riley #44 - Director of Teams Services - PA
I want to welcome our newest member to the Gladiator family. G.L. has been appointed to this position based on is enthusiam and the dedication he has shown to the Gladiator organization. His main resposibility is to obtain team sponsorships in PA.
