Welcome to the Wissahickon Travel Baseball Program Website.
If you live in the Wissahickon School District and your over 12 years old then we have a Baseball Program for you. The 3 Junior Programs (Ambler, Lower Gwynedd, and Whitpain) have joined together to form the Wissahickon Travel Baseball Program for all kids older than 12 years of age with Teams available for all skill levels and ages up to 23 years of old.
Our Programs
Just for our 13 year olds American Prep Legion or Connie Mack C depending on skill level.
For 13 to 15 year olds American Junior Legion or Connie Mack A, B or C depending on age and skill level.
For 16 to 19 year olds Ameriacan Senior Legion or Connie Mack A or Connie Mack Sullivan depending on age and skill level.
There are differences in these programs as outlined below:
The Connie Mack Travel Team Programs are competitive programs with age and skill levels for ages 13 thru 23 and beyond. Generally these teams are the feeder programs for American Legion and High School Teams in our area.
All 3 American Legion Teams are Highly Competitive with Try-outs and Strict Team Rules.
The Senior Legion Team Roster holds tryouts and the Roster is made up of High School Varsity players and returning College Freshmen. Ocassionally a few JV players or 16 year olds will make this team.
The Junior Legion holds tryouts and is Rostered with JV High School Players and sometimes 1 or 2 young Varsity players.
The Prep Legion Team holds tryouts and usually the Roster is made up of players coming out of our areas 3 Junior Programs Tournament Teams.

Try-Outs for American Junior Legion & Prep Fall Ball 2008

Announcement:
Wissahickon American Legion Baseball Program will have Tryouts for Fall Baseball on Saturday, September 6th and Sunday, September 7th at 12 Noon on both days on the Penllyn Woods Major League Field. These try-outs are for both the Prep Legion and Junior Legion Teams!
Who should Try-Out? All Wissahickon School District Baseball Players age 13 to 15 years old including the rising 12’s are invited to try-out.
There are only two requirements for a player to Try-Out for American Legion Baseball.
1) The Player must reside inside the Wissahickon School District Boundaries. No matter which Junior Program you’ve played in you will be given the same opportunity to try-out. We are simply looking for the most talented baseball players at this level.
2) The Player must be between the ages of 13 (rising 12’s) & 15. Baseball age is determined by the age you will be as of May 1st, 2009
