COACHES’ CODE OF ETHICS

York Youth Area “B” Basketball League exists to provide the best possible environment in which Youth can learn the fundamentals of the game of Basketball. Good sportsmanship will be stressed as skills are taught in practice and further developed in competitive league games.

• I will place the emotional and physical well-being of all my players ahead of any personal desire to win.

• I will do my very best to provide a safe playing situation for all my players.

• I will do my best to organize practices that are fun and challenging for all my players.

• I will lead, by example, in demonstration fair play and good sportsmanship to all my players.

• I will insure that I am knowledgeable in the rules and will teach these rules to all my players.

• I will remember that I am a youth coach, and that the game is for children and not adults.
