Corey has had success at all levels as a player. As a youngster he played in the Little League World Series (2006) with Murrayhill Little League. Then went on to play at Beaverton High helping Beaverton to a Metro League title in 2010.

After high school Corey continued his career in college at Western Nevada winning the Scenic West championship then transferred to UNLV.
