ALL TEAMS WELCOME!!! ANY NON USA SOFTBALL REGISTERED TEAM WE WILL REGISTER YOUR TEAM FOR THIS TOURNAMENT! CONTACT TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR FOR MORE INFO.
*Tournament Format: 4GG, 2 Pool seeded into Double Elimination Bracket (Same record will be decided on Runs Allowed and then coin flip).
* Awards will be given for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place *
*Pay at the plate for all games: $20 Pool, one umpire. $35 Bracket, 2 umpires.
*$5 Gate Fee per person (for the weekend)
*Teams must provide their own game balls / Concession will sell game balls
*Pool Games:
- 50 minutes, Drop Dead
- Flip for home
- Home team keeps books, visitors keep the scoreboard
- 6 runs per half
- Run rule: 15 after 3, 10 after 4, 8 after 5 innings
- Pool games can end in a tie
*Bracket Games:
- 75 minutes, finish the inning
- Higher seed is home team
- Home team keeps books, visitors keep the scoreboard
- 8U 6 runs per half / 10U & 12U No Run Limit
- Run rule: 15 after 3, 10 after 4, 8 after 5 innings
- ITB after time has expired until a winner is chosen
*Open rules apply, including dropped 3rd strike and stealing home.
*Undefeated team will be HOME TEAM in championship game.
*There WILL BE an IF game.
*Protests: Must be submitted to the tournament director. A fee of $100 will be collected. If your protest is granted, your $100 will be refunded. If the protest is denied, you will lose the $100 fee.
*ALL teams MUST turn in a completed ASA/USA roster. Coaches must be able to provide copies of player's birth certificates or ASA/USA player cards upon request.
*Players ineligible to play in an age division will NOT BE TOLERATED. If a team is disqualified, NO REFUNDS will be issued.
*No additions to roster allowed once turned in at the beginning of the tournament.
*All coaches on the field and in the dugouts must have a cleared ASA/USA background check card/badge.
* Please mail payment to: Brownwood Girls Softball Association (BGSA), P.O. Box 611, Brownwood, TX, 76801.
*No personal checks! Money order or cashier's check only. Payment must be received by March 20, 2019. Contact tournament director to make other arrangements.
*RAIN OUT POLICY*
If more than 50% of the game guarantee is played, no credit or refunds will be given. If <50% of games are played, a percentage will be refunded or credited toward the next tournament (percentage will be determined by the tournament director based on games played). Once a game has started, it has officially 'been played.'
