April 14th is our Annual Combined Parade and Opening Day.
Teams will meet at George Fox Middle School, in the upper parking lot (closest to Mountain Rd.) at 8:00 AM, with players dressed in uniforms. There will be allot of people in this parking lot. Havenwood players meet in the back corner of the parking lot (furthest from Outing Ave). The parade will start moving at 9:00 AM (sometimes a little earlier or later, depending when the police arrive to stop traffic). Try to get there before TBA because parking becomes an issue, as they begin to shut down roads. We also try to get a group photo of all of our teams, prior to the start of the parade.
We will judge team banners during the parade. The team with the best banner will win snowballs from Snowball Dave’s, later in the season.
There will be a brief ceremony after the parade, at Havenwood Park, directly across the street, from where we start the parade. Games will be played later in the day back at Rock Creek Park or at an away venue. Game schedules will be posted on our website. .
