COACH' S AGREEMENT/MCYFL

As a coach you are one of the most important elements in youth football. You must be familiar with the concepts, goals, rules and philosophies of Oklahoma Youth Football League. The Knowledgeable, team oriented coach brings success to the program which not only reflects on their own team but the teams within their league.

Our youth coaches concerned with the players' grades, citizenship and how effective his/her coaching is to the participant. While winning as well as losing is apart of football, a great emphasis must be placed upon sportsmanship in overall attitude of the team. Our youth coaches realize that we are not just a coach to our teams, but that our conduct on and off the playing fields relies on our ability to positively impact our teams, as well as those of the opposing team. Teach teamwork, cooperation, discipline and demand hard work. Strive to make practice and games a fun and rewarding experience they will enjoy and be eager to return next year.

Our youth coaches must keep themselves informed and up to date on the latest training techniques, drills, isometrics, and stretching exercises used for developing young bodies. Know the proper ways to instruct blocking, tackling, and stunt techniques to prevent injury. Also have a general way knowledge of first aid a sight relates to youth sports.

All OYFL coaches are required to be NYSCA certified before any contact with the kids. All coaches who attended the USA football meeting will be required to submit certificate. I must have a thorough knowledge of the rules and policies that govern the OYFl.

Our coaches may participate in rule making process by submitting suggestions in writing to the OYFL board. I have read and understand the OYFL philosophies and rules. I agree with the code of conduct and will at all times set a positive example for the youth that will lead to their development as good athletes and responsible citizens.

By signing below, I hereby, accept that I am a coach for the OYFL '2008' season. I agree to abide by all rules and regulations of the OYFL and if not I choose to forfeit my position as a coach of the OYFL.
