Southbridge Takes Early Lead Behind King’s 9K CG/Multi-Hit
Southbridge Spectacles defeated Sturbridge Tincaps 11-1 on Saturday thanks to six runs in the sixth inning. Southbridge Spectacles big bats were led by Andrew Richards, Juan Soto, Bill King, and Sean Lavallee, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Southbridge Spectacles got on the board in the first inning. Southbridge Spectacles scored one run when Matt Higgins singled.
Southbridge Spectacles scored six runs in the sixth inning. Richards, Soto, King, and Lavallee all drove in runs in that frame.
King earned the win for Southbridge Spectacles. He allowed six hits and one run over six innings, striking out nine. Stuart Simons took the loss for Sturbridge Tincaps.
