Kittelberger Throws Shutout As Terriers Defeat Golden Spikes

Matthew Kittelberger didn't allow a single run as Terriers defeated Golden Spikes Baseball 10-0 on Wednesday. Kittelberger allowed just two hits.

Terriers grabbed an early lead. Terriers scored on a home run by Dalton Davis and a walk in the first inning.

Terriers took an early lead in the first inning. Davis homered on a 2-2 count in the first inning, scoring two runs.

Terriers scored seven runs in the fifth inning. Terriers scored on a walk by Chad Matthus, a single by Jared Houser, a double by Will Haueter, a single by Jon Conkle, a single by Austin White, and a double by Jake Miller.

One bright spot for Golden Spikes Baseball was a single by Ethan Pawlak in the fourth inning.

Matthew Kittelberger earned the win for Terriers. He went five innings, giving up zero runs, two hits, and striking out five. Evan Faxon took the loss for Golden Spikes Baseball. He pitched four innings, surrendering three runs, three hits, and striking out four.

Haueter and Davis each drove in two runs to lead Terriers. Terriers didn't commit a single error in the field. Conkle had seven chances in the field, the most on the team.
