A's Outlast Bulldogs
The Muhlenberg A's (4-2) scored four runs in the bottom of the fifth all with two outs to get by Norchester 5-2.
Down 2-1, the inning began with a ground out and a strikeout. Jordan Jeter singled to left, Conor Williams reached on an error and Pete McGinley's RBI single tied it scoring Jeter. Chris Drobnick was next lining a single to right scoring Williams on a close play at the plate. After Frandy Francisco was hit-by-a-pitch, Daulton Fidler ripped an two out, two RBI single to give the A's the 5-2 lead.
Anthony Pizzo threw a complete game scattering five hits while striking out five. "Pizzo threw a real nice ball game today" said assistant coach Tony Morganti. A.J. was able to stay ahead of hitters and our defense made plays behind him."
Next up for the A's is a Schuylkill Berks showdown vs. Tulpehocken Tuesday at the Tulpehocken High School.
