Spectacles Top Bulldogs 10-0 in Bill King No-Hitter
Bill King was brilliant on the mound Saturday morning, as he threw a mercy shortened no-hitter to lead the Spectacles past the Bulldogs 10-0.
Southbridge tallied five runs in the fourth inning. Juan Maldonado, Ben Guimont And Eric Proulx each had RBIs in the big inning.
King went six innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits and striking out eight.
Gil Picard takes the loss for Roachdale. Gil lasted two and two thirds innings, allowing four hits, one run while striking out one.
Andrew Richards led Southbridge offensively with four hits in four at-bats.
