Not in Our House
The Amato's Girlz had a little score to settle with the Cape Majors after last weeks loss to the Dodgers in Cape Elizabeth. The Cape Cardinals didn't know what they were in for when they hit the Scarborough home turf as Danni "K" Plummer took the mound for the Green and Gold. Plummer was on top of her game once again, changing speeds, hitting her spots and keeping the Lady Birds off balance all night. Plummer surrendered 1 base on balls and only 2 hits while collecting 14 strike outs.- 8 of those looking.
Offensively the Amato Majors collected 7 hits with Megan Murrell collecting 3 of them. 1 solo home run, a base clearing triple and a single collecting 4 RBI's. Plummer had 2 hits along the way with the team collecting 16 free passes and only striking out 4 times.
Mary Farnkoff, Jamie Dillon and Chandra LaBonte each collecting 3 base on balls on the evening.
Defensive note Murrell gunned down a would be base stealer at 2B and late Arrival Anna Driscoll was put to the test as soon as she got on the field with 2 put outs and 1 assist.
Next game, Volk Packaging looks to a rematch Thursday night 5/21 at the High School Field
