Cubs clobber Clippers with six run outburst!!

The Barre Cubs defeated the Carlton Clippers on Monday night by a score of 10-6. The outcome of the seesaw battle was finally settled when Barre exploded for six runs on four hits in the bottom of the fifth innning. Rick Stacey struck the big blow driving in three runs in the inning. Mitch Desmit and Brian Graham also had a hit and an RBI in the innning. Noah Preston also had two hits and a run for Barre. For Carlton Shawn Whittier pitched four innings and struck out five. Ryan Golden had two hits and an RBI while Joel Smith knocked in two runs for the Clippers. Brian Graham and Kole combined to strike out 14 Carlton hitters.
