TITANS PREVAIL IN COUGAR CLASSIC CONTEST
Mira Mesa came out strong against Poway with two runs in the top of the 1st, but the Titans took charge after that and went on to a 9-3 victory. Consecutive hits by Amber Ratza, Katiyana Mauga, Tani Leasau (RBI) and Mercedes Humphrey (RBI double) gave the Marauders the early lead. Poway scored one in the 1st and four in the 3rd to take the lead. A RBI single by Amber Cordero in the 4th cut the lead to 5-3, but the Titans responded with four in the bottom of the 4th to put the game away. Ratza, Leasau and Humphrey had two hits each for the Marauders.
