The Cardinals beat Hagerstown 8-0 to force game 5. Zane Grimes scattered 5 hits to pick up the complete game shutout. Ryan Wentzel led the way with 3 hits. Luke Wagner hit a solo home run.
Mechanicsburg got on the board with 3 runs in the 2nd inning. Wentzel led off with a single. He was followed by 5 straight walks and a sacrifice fly by Josh Herring. The Cards got 2 more in the 3rd. Mason Walker walked and moved to 2nd on a wild pitch. Wentzel singled him home. Teed Wertz walked and Charlie White singled Wentzel home. In the 5th Josh Herring walked and moved to 2nd on a wild pitch. Hunter Breon singled him to third. Herring scored on a sacrifice fly by John Mayer. Luke Wagner hit a home run in the 5th inning. Mechanicsburg added a run in the 7th on singles by Walker and Wentzel. Walker moved to 3rd on a fielders choice and scored on another fielders choice by Nate Blazick.
