Terriers Grab Lead In 8th For Victory Over Golden Spikes
Terriers took the lead late in the game in a 2-1 victory over Golden Spikes Baseball on Saturday. The game was tied at zero with Terriers batting in the top of the eighth when Chad Matthus hit a sacrifice fly to drive in a run.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Michael Seminatore struck out seven, while hurlers for Golden Spikes Baseball sat down three.
Seminatore earned the win for Terriers. He pitched eight innings, allowing one run, nine hits, and striking out seven. Aidan Mlachak took the loss for Golden Spikes Baseball. He went seven and two-thirds innings, surrendering two runs, six hits, and striking out three.
Chad Matthus and Damian Maglione each drove in one run to lead Terriers.
