TORREY PINES 4, MIRA MESA 1 (8 inn.) – The Falcons pushed across three runs using the international tiebreaker in the 8th inning to down the Marauders. The victory was the 299th in the career of head coach Jon Moore.
After Torrey Pines scored in the 3rd inning, Mira Mesa answered in the 5th on a leadoff home run by catcher TANI LEASAU. The bomb was her 7th of the season.
Otherwise, the Marauders (14-5-1) registered just one additional basehit as Nasland, the Falcons pitcher, tossed a 2-hitter. She struck out 11 to raise her record to 9-1.
