Facing a familiar foe with a new name, the A's lost to the Royals (formerly Nats) 3-2 to open the Springl 2019 Season. Alex Arteaga pitched 8 solid innings giving up 2 earned runs on 6 hits in 7 innings while striking out 8. The A's lone offense came in the 3rd when Juan Quesada walked and scored on an RBI double from Chicho Vengoechea who later scored on a wild pitch. The A's will look to bounce back next week.
