Reds back in win column, down Monarchs 5-2

Three pitchers combined to hold the Monarchs to 2 runs on 8 scattered hits as the Reds snapped their losing streak. Pete Karl's 2 rbi single in the 7th was the difference maker on a day when the Reds defense really stepped up with a double play and two big catches by Jason Swink in left. For the Monarchs, Bruna and Kimmel each had two hits.
