Colts Hang On
The Muddskippers out hit the 45s 10-7, and gave them all they could handle in a very hard fought game. Robert Lewis pitch eight strong innings, and finally got some support in the bottom on the eighth. After hitting into two rally killing double plays, Victor Hayes came up with the big bases loaded single that tied up the game. Tim "Woody" Woodward closed things down in the ninth, notching a big save. Mark Freeman doubled, scored a couple runs, and stole a base, despite playing with a messed up shoulder. The Colt 45s head to the playoffs next and tip their cap to a very tough and improved Muddskippers squad.
