Angels Break Out of Four Week Funk to Win!
It looked like another week of futility as the Gators scored two in the first and the first nine Angeles went in order. Then Blakey started the fourth with a single and the Angels batted around, scoring six runs on six hits to take a six-two lead they would never reliquish. The Halos scored two more in the sixth and five in the seventh in route to the thirteen to six final. Aldo Pinto started and pitched seven strong innings, giving up six runs (four earned) and striking out ten. Mark Batchelor pitched the final two, striking out three for the save. On offense, Aldo was two for five (two runs, one RBI, SB); Mark Batchelor (two for four, double, two runs, one RBI); Ryan "Wrecking Crew" Davis (two for three, double, home run, two runs, five RBIs); Paul Prince (two for four, double, triple, one run, two RBIs)and a special honorable mention to Greg Whittaker with a very productive 0-3 with a sac fly, RBI and a key sac bunt.
