The Alliance Captures Lead Early to Defeat Southbridge
Southbridge Spectacles watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 10-2 loss to The Alliance on Sunday. The Alliance scored on a single by Corey Lavallee, a walk by Kyle Lavallee, a single by Robbie Peterson, a walk by Torey LeBlanc, and a fielder's choice by Brian Allen in the second inning.
The Southbridge Spectacles struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing The Alliance, giving up ten runs.
The Alliance fired up the offense in the second inning, when Corey Lavallee singled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs.
Kyle Lavallee earned the win for The Alliance. He allowed four hits and two runs over six innings, striking out seven and walking one. Peterson threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Eric Proulx took the loss for Southbridge Spectacles. He allowed seven hits and seven runs over four innings, striking out four.
Sean Lavallee, Proulx, Juan Soto, and Elvin Soto all had one hit to lead Southbridge Spectacles.
The Alliance racked up ten hits in the game. C Lavallee, Peterson, and Allen each had multiple hits for The Alliance.
