Mechanicsburg beats Hagerstown 7-3 to win the series 3-2
Mechanicsburg beat Hagerstown 7-3 Wednesday evening to win the series 3-2. Hagerstown led off the game with one run in the first inning. Mechanicsburg responded with 4 in the 2nd. Kyle Hannon led off with a home run. Teed Wertz and Charlie White hit singles. Josh Herring reached on an error loading the bases. Hunter Breon singled in Wertz. John Mayer walked to force in another run. Mason Walker grounded out to score the 4th run in the inning. The Cards scored 2 more in the 4th to put the game out or reach. Charlie White reached on an error. Josh Herring singled. Hunter Breon and John Mayer both singled to drive in a run. John Mayer doubled in the 6th and moved to third on a ground out. He scored on an error.
Hunter Breon had 3 hits and drove in 2 runs. John Mayer hit 2 doubles and drove in 2 runs.
