Peterson Plays Pristinely, Wins MotM
The John Rosalie from Mark Schwanda and Gary Len goal put the Vudoos ahead before a late first period goal by James Woods-Corwin. Now 2-0 Vudoos, they wouldn't add to their lead until over halfway into the second period when they were up a man after Dave Leong's high stick; it was Woods-Corwin from Mark Schwanda and Will "The Wild Card" Dimock. Another late Vudoos period goal would be scored when Kurt "The Sidewinder" Seidel whacked in from Tom "Godzilla" Godon. The Vudoos continued to suck the life out of this game in workman like fashion, overall shutting down the Hooligans, but there was a bit of daylight for the Rioters when they were power play bound due to goaltender interference by Antonio Figueroa. Pete Peterson, who had a shutout so far, snared a few with his glove, but would be beaten while his crew was short with a Zach Milos low blast, evidently not going high after Peterson was bossing the top of the cage. But as soon as the Hooligans could try to mount more pressure, Mark Schwanda pipped that goal right back, and it would be back to square one for each team. The Vudoos continued to bleed out the clock, but would give up what would amount to a consolation goal to the Hooligans right before the end, with rookie Joe Hutchison lighting the lamp. At 5-2, the Vudoos won, with Pete Peterson (two goals against) winning the Buffalo Wild Wings Man of the Match Award.
