Much of the first period would elapse before the first goal: Nicole Terpak from Andrew Lorenc and Ray Sarlo. Sarlo would add Ooff!'s second goal to go into the intermission up two, but the Hooligans quickly pulled that back with Keith Plescia's goal. The goaltending would continue to be fantastic with Dean Bogner of Ooff! stoning Dan Maus on a breakaway, then James Coughlin of the Hooligans snaring a slapper by Terpak. PTAHL rookie Joe Hutchison would tie it when he sped in and wristed low past Bogner, but another late period goal for Ooff! would come, Jimmy DiPaolo unassisted. It was now 3-2 Ooff! when DiPaolo scored from Chris Fagan, but the Hooligans didn't give up. Maus, this time, got the better of Bogner when he went coast to coast and excellently stick handled in and out of the Ooff! defense, cutting in on his forehand and firing though the Ooff! goalie. Riding Maus' momentum, the Hooligans would find themselves on level terms with Jacky Morin's blast form just inside the blue line. At 4-4, it would go to overtime, as the crowd went crazy in this exciting contest. Each team team had opportunities, but it would be Chris Fagan who scored, and Ooff! won 5-4.
The Buffalo Wild Wings Man of the Match Award was won by Jimmy DiPaolo (2G) and Chris Fagan (1G, 1A).
