LAKE PLACID — Kamm Cassidy posted a 32-save shutout, while Evan Damp scored twice, in Lake Placid’s 3-0 blanking of Plattsburgh High Tuesday. Kevin Geesler also tallied in the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference boys hockey game. “It is great to get a league win against a very good team,” Blue Bombers coach Butch Martin said. “Our guys worked hard. Ryan Kane, Kevin Geesler and our goalie, Kamm Cassidy, had outstanding games. “We learned a little more (Tuesday), and we will continue to work to get better. After a bunch of one-goal losses, it is nice for the guys to string three wins in a row. We will now prepare for our next game.” Dean Dashnaw stopped 21-of-24 shots for the Hornets.
