We are happy to announce we will be in the new FHS Mat Room soon! There will be some changes to how practices are run, but we are grateful to be back in the mat room with you all.
Practices will remain closed. There is a place to sit inside, but not in the matroom. We found this was the best for attention span and behavior.
You must have an athlete USA Card. This is purchased at www.themat.com. There is a limited card available for $20, or a full membership is $55. (Full membership is good for all styles and state tournaments, limited is only good for local tournaments and practices). This is a requirement to be on the mat for all wrestlers.
If you are interested in coaching (and we can always use more coaches!) please fill out the coaching application that is on the right hand side of this page. A coach's card along with a background check and a SafeSport Certification are required for all coaches. There are no exceptions. This is for the safety of all our athletes.
A singlet will be needed for tournaments. We have quite a few dontated, and will have more info at practice.
We do have a bin of shoes that your wrestler can go through and borrow for the season for $10. If you have old pairs of wrestling shoes that you would like to donate, please consider donating them. This is the same for singlets too!
