Agreement reached between the Executives of the metro League and the NSIBL Two year trial period 2015 NSIBL to host AAA and the Metro to host AA. It reverses next year. Six team tournaments unless the host thinks they can do eight. The top three teams from each league to play AAA. If the host is not in the top three then we use the top two. Two pools of three. Second place team from each league to switch pools. Play across using BNS format. After the top four teams are determined with two semi finals and a championship game. BNS tie breaking procedure to be used. The AA is determined in the same manner with the next three teams in the standings. Exceptions may be made if some other teams wish to move up. Application for hosting to be made to NSIBL Executive for AAA. AA goes to Metro. AAA by June 1, AA by June 7 with BNS approving the choices by June 15 August 3 is the date for determining our league championship. Second Monday in August to determine the placing for Nova Scotia Provincial Championship.

Yes there was agreement made between the Metro League and Our league I will post the agreement here if I can. I agree games do get missed due to weather and this year I think we need like 14 weekends but have a total of 12 or something like that. Obviously it makes scheduling a bit tighter with 4 teams using 2 fields and the head of umpires asked me not to schedule games specially for 2 certain weekends (I always forget his name). so that brings us down to 10ish weekends hoping for no rain. Well that lasted until today.

The other game scores are posted in the game results section. When it comes to games played/not played, teams get two points for a win and one point for playing a game as an incentive to get teams to play all of their games.

Did i hear right that only top 3 teams from metro and top 3 from our league go AAA? Every year games get rained out and not made up, so what happens in this case? Last year we finished forth, but we had a bunch of games lost due to weather.

Just a thought on the idea of having a Cape Breton team in the league. From a representation of Nova Scotia perspective it would be awesome as it would be more exposure for the League. I understand the travel thing so here's an idea. What about making it a 4 game weekend? One year have the CB team travel to Yarmouth for a 4 game weekend and the next year have Yarmouth travel to CB for 4 games. It would mean only one trip every two years. I know I would much prefer traveling for a 4 game weekend if I had to drive 6+ hours than possibly driving 6 hours there, playing 14 innings and driving 6 hours back. Also, make the games on the Victoria game weekend if you can so that you have that extra day for travel so people aren't completely zonked on Monday. Overnight trips are great bonding experiences for teams.

Hey guys, who ever is responsible for your teams stats or roster will need to sign in and input your roster for the 2015 season. Rosters don't carry over from last year. If your not sure what your login is txt or email me.

Guys like I said earlier I didn't mean to cause anything, it's none of my business who you accept into your league. I wish your league all the best

I don't think Yarmouth would enjoy going to Cape Breton for "2" 7 inning ball games nor would Cape Breton enjoy the trip to Yarmouth for the same. Sorry I should say I know there are guys that would rather not make that trip and some would enjoy it. It doesn't make sense financially in my opinion unless it was a 4 game weekend. It's not a slight towards Cape Breton its self more just the distance. Keep pushing it though things change every year. It does make sense for the league to allow another Pictou area team in the league I'm sure you can see why.

Hey Paul i'm not entirely sure about our torney yet. We usually contact the teams that come every year first. But no one has comitted yet beside Eastern Passage who would probably just show up anyway even if they weren't invited haha. There is a new guy running the Albions this year so we will have chat about it and let you know. It would probably be a good thing to get some Cape Bretoners in there to blow up our beer tent

Hey Paul, Overnight trip to Cape Breaton sounds like a fantastic idea to me, and i know the Albions would love it. Casino, booze and bars, you got it all. You guys being to far away wouldn't be a good enough excuse for me either. There may be a bit more to it then that. Yarmouth is in the league and you can't get much farther then that.

Don't get me wrong by this post , I really enjoy keeping up to date on your league. With that said I see you have taken another new team to your league, the problem I have is the name of your league Nova Scotia Intermediate League. How can it be called a Nova Scotia league when a team from Cape Breton can't get in your league, we expressed interest at the end of last season and were told by your president that nobody wanted us because we are to far away That's unfortunate but I will still follow your league as I have in the past and will do so in the future. Than You

Hey Keith, Based on years past the league championship has been the weekend before Provincials. Provincials are always labour day weekend which is Sept 4th to the 7th, in this case we have up until the 23rd for league games which leaves the following weekend for the league tourney. We have had in the past an extra weekend at the end for make up games. This year with 8 teams and 2 of them using the same field and other teams needing certain weekends off and some teams only play on Sundays, also this year Yarmouth is Hosting Old timer Nationals so they want as few games as possible scheduled that weekend also. I m giving the schedule one more look over and I hope its good.

I think the schedule is done, Please everyone take a look at it and go over it a couple times. There are a couple double header weekends for most teams, if they don't work you can reschedule them during the week if possible. This was a new way I made up the schedule. Any issues let me know. Yeah I did start the weekend of may 23rd, because of time we have to be done by August 23rd I believe it is. For Pictou you guys can reschedule your games with each other during the week, I didn't have field times so I just scheduled you in on weekends but you can free up weekends by playing during the week which you may have to do with rain outs. I hope we get off on the first weekend. If you're hosting and you think you can't maybe check with the team you playing and see if you can just switch home dates. Email me any changes clcb@eastlink.ca
