05/06/18 Got Game - May Mayhem (Powhatan, VA)

Congratulations to the Chesterfield HavoK 14u - Whitt (middle row) and 12u '05 - Wells (top row) for  their stellar  Gold Bracket Tournament Championship wins. Also the 12u '06- Bolt (bottom row) team came away with  the Silver Bracket Tournament Championship.  Great day for HavoK Softball!

Additionally, our 10u - Fiege team came home with a runner-up Silver Bracket finish in the SoftBall Nation  One Day Tournament.

Chesterfield HavoK had the pleasure of playing in the 3rd annual Jimmy Pike Benefit Tournament. The 12u Wells and 14u Dempster teams had a great time playing with many other teams in the Suffolk, VA area. We look forward to playing in this tournament in the future, what a great time with new friends!

Chesterfield HavoK Fastpitch Softball teamed up with Fusion Fastpitch Softball, Dixie Chicks Softball and Mid-Cities Civic Association in supplying needed goods to families displaced in the Houston, TX and surrounding areas due to Hurricane Harvey and it's aftermath.

Chad Vaughan, President of Fusion Fastpitch Softball, was in contact with three travel softball organizations (Houston Lightning, Diamond Fury-Elite and Kathy Cruisers) just outside of the Houston, TX area. The owner of the Houston Lightning organization just happened to be a Sargent for the Houston Police Department who was in the middle of the disaster, witnessing firsthand the destruction of many families homes and belongings.

Fusion Fastpitch, as well as Chesterfield HavoK, believe it is very important that all of the girls in our respected organizations learn that we need to help others in time of need, and what it means to be a part of something so much more than just a travel softball organization, but ONE BIG softball community.

The Fusion Fastpitch organization coordinated a freight trailer for transportation of all donations to the Houston Lightning’s indoor facility where the teams, girls and families from Houston Lightning, Diamond Fury Elite and Kathy Cruisers sorted through these items. With the help of the Houston Police Department, the items were delivered to families that had been displaced and in need.

Miracle League was created in 1999 with the mission of offering every child with physical or mental handicap, the opportunity to play baseball. Yesterday, Chesterfield HavoK partnered with the local Richmond chapter to volunteer as field buddies and join in the experience. To say this event was special is an understatement. I am so proud of our players, parents and coaches for embracing this opportunity to give back. This picture captures the spirit of ones who can supporting the ones who can't. This is one of the many reasons that Chesterfield HavoK Youth Sports, Inc. continues to thrive and grow! If you or any team you know wants to get involved with Miracle League, please visit www.themiracleleague.net. I promise you it will be a tremendous experience! A special thanks to Tim Dempster, J.T. Talley and Karen Long for making this happen!
