Ravens History

The KC Ravens were founded in 2001 by Melvin McDavis and Robert Morris. KC Ravens are a non-profit youth football and cheer organization. The Ravens were established to help children in our urban core. Academics area a top priority of our organization, all student athletes must maintain a 2.5 grade point average.

KC Ravens take pride in 5 strong values in making a successful athlete:

We expect not only our players & cheerleaders, but our parents to know then, apply them and understand them. KC Ravens strive to teach responsibility to all of our athletes by enforcing rules and strict discipline.

KC Ravens are a member of American Youth Football League (AYF/MO-KAN). KC Ravens volunteer coaching staff is comprised of former student/athletes from the Kansas City area.Between 2002-2005 the Ravens organization went from 40 players to 110 players and 21 cheerleaders. The KC Ravens have 4 Kansas City Pop Warner Championships and 3 runner-ups. In 2008 we moved to the AYF/MO-Kan league and have won 3 League Championships with 3 runner-up teams.Last year we had 5 Championship contending teams, with 2 teams winning and earning spots in the American Youth Football League National Championship Tournament in Orlando FL, where our 8th grade division champion finished 8th in the nation.

KC Ravens would like to invite all players ages 6-14 and cheerleaders ages 6-12 to come play football and cheer with one of the best organizations in the Kansas City area.
