The U14 AA tryouts for the 2023 - 2024 season will be held on the following dates: May 5, 6 & 7, May 12, 13 &14, at Niverville Arena, in Niverville MB.
ANY ATHLETES WISHING TO PLAY IN THE AA PROGRAM MUST REGISTER AND ATTEND TRYOUTS.
NOTE: If a player is unable to attend tryouts, they will be excused for the following reasons only: - Family death or health emergency - Sickness or injury, accompanied by a doctor’s note,
All notifications of absenteeism must be submitted in writing to the tryout coordinator, Marcee Chacun (aatryoutcoordinator@shaw.ca) as soon as you are aware of the absence. The AA committee will determine a fair evaluation for these players. These situations will be reviewed on a case by case basis. The team formation committee reserves the right to consider the athlete’s previous ringette experience. However, if a player does not attend tryouts for reasons not previously noted, their score could prevent placement on an AA team.
U14AA – (Born 2010/2011) – The final determination of the number of U14AA teams will not be made until tryout registration numbers are submitted and skills can be evaluated.
The 2022 AA tryouts will be coordinated by The Manitoba High Performance Ringette League, in a centralized manner.
After tryouts are complete and teams formed, all athletes who were not selected will be required to return to their home Local Association.
If a player is selected to play on a team outside of their catchment area and the player declines to play, they will not be selected to another AA team and will return to their home Local Association. Registrants will need to indicate whether they would be willing to play for an AA team outside of their catchment area to avoid situations where athletes decline to play after being selected for a team from a different AA Organization.
Should an athlete remove themselves from contention prior to the commencement of the tryout process, no refunds will be issued.
Registrations opens March 9, 2023 and closes on April 16, 2023 (11:59pm)

Welcome to Interlake Ringette
The Interlake Ringette Association is the parent governing association for all Ringette in the Interlake. Our mandate is to ensure players, at every level, have a team to play on. Although the “A” program takes on our name, Interlake Ignite, we are involved in and provide oversight at all levels from the age groups of R4U to Open.
If you are new to the game, we suggest starting with our About Ringette section and attending one of the Come Try Ringette events located throughout the province during the year. Follow this link to find a Come Try Ringette location near you https://www.cometryringette.ca/event-type/manitoba/ . You can also contact any of our board members if you have any questions about the sport or how to register in your community.
Feel free to download our Guide to Ringette which includes rules, age levels and required equipment.
Stay updated with all our events and news by following us on Instagram @interlakeringetteassociation or on Facebook @interlakeringette
Ringette4U – An Introductory Program for 3 to 8 year olds
The Manitoba and Interlake Ringette Associations have introduced a new program for those 3 to 8 years of age, Ringette4U. R4U gives more ice time, more touches of the ring, certified instructor lead sessions while learning to skate and play Ringette at your own pace, and in the meantime, having tons of fun. For more information about the program contact our R4U Director, Shauna Leferink via her contact page and visit the R4U website at https://ringettemanitoba.ca/want-to-play/ringette-4-u/
