Draft
Each team will select 20 forwards, 12 defenceman, 4 goalies, and 6 NHL teams. At the completion of every proceeding draft this standard must be met.
The first draft will snake (1,2,3,3,2,1), and all proceeding drafts will go in standard NHL format (1,2,3,1,2,3).
Players may keep 6 forwards, 3 defenceman, 1 goalie, and 2 NHL teams from the previous year.
There will be 24 rounds in all proceeding drafts. Players may trade picks from the 1st to 8th round, but must draft in position from round 9 to 24.
Players will stop drafting when they reach a roster of 40 players.
For players who have traded picks away in a pick for pick swap they will draft in the respectively obtained positions.
For players who have traded picks away without recieving equal picks in return, they will draft after the completion of the 24th round of the draft. The highest original pick will draft first in round 25, preceeded by the next highest pick, until all teams have 40 players.
After the draft, players can make trades and waivers that alter the roster size and position allocation for the remainder of the year.
