Game 5: Concordia @ Bancroft-Rosalie

Early lead gives Concordia Mustangs JV victory over Bancroft-Rosalie (Bancroft, NE), 13-4

Concordia Mustangs JV jumped out to an early lead on Bancroft-Rosalie and captured a 13-4 victory on Tuesday at Bancroft-Rosalie High School.

The game was decided quickly as Concordia Mustangs JV exerted its will early with seven runs in the first three innings.

An RBI single by Parker Thune and a two-run single by Grant Meyer in the second inning helped Concordia Mustangs JV put some runs on the board early.

Jack Mar racked up two RBIs on three hits for Concordia Mustangs JV. He singled in the second, fourth, and sixth innings.

Coleton Kanzmeier put together a nice outing. Kanzmeier gave up just three hits, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his four innings of work.

Rutar was charged with the loss. He allowed 10 runs in 3 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out three.

Concordia Mustangs JV got three-run boosts in each of the third, fourth and sixth. In the third, Concordia Mustangs JV scored on an error, plating Jayden Scott.

Concordia Mustangs JV built upon its lead with three runs in the sixth. A wild pitch scored Scott to start the scoring in the inning.

Game 4: Concordia @ Bryan

Concordia Mustangs JV tops Bryan (Omaha, NE) in back-and-forth affair, 7-3

Concordia Mustangs JV and Bryan volleyed the lead seven times on Tuesday, but Concordia Mustangs JV came out on top for a 7-3 win on Tuesday at Bryan High School.

Concordia Mustangs JV pulled out the win thanks to a strong sixth inning. A groundout by Jacob Headley scored Jayden Scott and gave Concordia Mustangs JV the lead for good.

Scott racked up three RBIs on two hits for Concordia Mustangs JV. He tripled in the sixth inning and doubled in the seventh inning.

Bryan couldn't get anything going so long as Coleton Kanzmeier was on the hill. Kanzmeier held Bryan hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked three and struck out three. 

Concordia Mustangs JV jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first.

Bryan tied the game in the fourth on a passed ball that scored Biero.

Game 3: Springfield @ Concordia

Concordia Mustangs JV outhits Platteview (Springfield, NE) in 10-6 defeat 

Concordia Mustangs JV lost 10-6 in six innings at Omaha Home For Boys on Tuesday, despite outhitting Platteview 14 to seven.  

Jacob Olsen got a hit in each of his four at bats. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the third, fifth, and sixth innings.  

Platteview was sparked by #31 and #30, who teamed up for three hits and four RBIs. 

Platteview stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the first, scoring two runs on.

Platteview built upon its lead with four runs in the second. A clutch scored #24 to open the scoring in the frame. 

After pushing across two runs in the bottom of the second, Concordia Mustangs JV faced just a 6-2 deficit. An RBI single by Parker Thune and an RBI single by Jacob Headley set off Concordia Mustangs JV rally. The Concordia Mustangs JV threat came to an end when #9 finally got Coleton Kanzmeier to ground out. 

After pushing across one run in the bottom of the third, Concordia Mustangs JV faced just a 6-3 deficit. An RBI single by Ethan Bierman fueled Concordia Mustangs JV's comeback. Platteview stopped the rally after #9 got Thune to ground out. 

After pushing across three runs in the bottom of the fifth, Concordia Mustangs JV faced just a 7-6 deficit. An RBI double by Noah Jones, an RBI triple by Thune, and gave Concordia Mustangs JV life. But, #9 got Reid Doehling to ground out to end the inning.

Game 2: Concordia @ Arlington

Second-inning rally sparks win for Concordia Mustangs JV, 13-4 

Concordia Mustangs JV beat Arlington High School 13-4 in five innings on Friday at Washington County Fairgrounds after a nine-run explosion in the second inning. 

Concordia Mustangs JV scored in the second on an RBI single by Jacob Headley, a two-run single by Max Revers, an RBI single by Jack Mar, a two-run single by Parker Thune, a two-run error, and an RBI single by Jacob Headley.  

Thune led Concordia Mustangs JV's offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored two runs and had two RBIs.  

Concordia Mustangs JV piled on four more runs in the top of the fourth. A ground out scored Jacob Olsen to get Concordia Mustangs JV on the board in the inning. That was followed up by Noah Jones's single, plating Thune and Ethan Bierman
