**any player interested in participating must register

prior to the evaluations**

We expect our teams will be very full - for this reason ALL players must register prior to and attend the mandatory evaluations.  If for some reason your player cannot attend a parent must contact Andy or Bridget Jobst PRIOR to the start of evaluations.  Once evaluations are complete rosters, coaches and AD's will determine team rosters and no new players will be added unless our teams are under-subscribed.  Please allow 4-5 days to be notified about placement on a team.

PARENT MEETING : Parents of Players are REQUIRED

to attend a parent meeting from 4-5 PM Tuesday Oct 8th

Season Expectations: Practices begin October 11th, games in early November - please see the Christ the King Calendar on our website for more specifics.  In general, there are three commitments a week.  Games are usually on Tuesday's and Thursday's with an additional practice on Friday or Saturday. CTK plays in a local league and most games are against school teams in our area.  The regular season ends in January with a league tournament.  Parents will be surveyed early in the season to determined if a post-season team will form to compete in the state tournament in Mt Pleasant MI in mid-February. Details explained at the parent meeting.

Parent Volunteer Jobs/Fees : Parents can expect to do several volunteer jobs which are generally:  parent on duty (stay for practice); set up for games; scoreboard for games; score book for games; clean up for games; help with banquet.  Sign up for these will be thru Sign Up Genius and details will be explained at the parent meeting.  Cost for the season is $150 - there is also a refundable $50 uniform deposit.  This is returned when the uniform is returned at the end of the season.

Player Expectations: This is a competitive program, players are expected to attend all practices and games or notify the coach if they cannot.   At the 5/6 grade level players, it is understood that boys are still learning the game, thus coaches will strive to play each player 5-6 min per game during the regular season.  However, play time during tournament play will be different --refer to handbook.  At the 7/8 grade level, it is understood that playtime is now more under the players control.  Playtime is at the coaches discretion to win the game, however when possible they will strive for some playtime for each player in each game.  IMPORTANT: Our gym time if very limited, in order to succeed, players need to commit to practicing at home between games/practices.  We play teams that have the opportunity to practice daily.  In order to compete in this league, our players have to work on their own.  Coaches at each level reserve the right to give less play time to those players not giving full effort and attention at practice.

Coaches:  5/6  John Hogan     7/8 Paul Knickelbein
