WHAT IS THE FAMILY BOND?
The family bond is a bond (payment) paid to MOBSA. EVERY family is required to pay this bond and no player will be allowed on the playing field if this bond is not supplied. This family bond does not apply to families with children only in the Farms division. Once you satisfy your family bond your account with MOBSA will be credited in full for use in future seasons.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE FAMILY BOND?
MOBSA is a 100% volunteer organization, including the Board of Directors. The family bond encourages our families to put in a few hours of work to maintain the level of excellence that we have achieved and will try to maintain for years to come. It is critical to the operation of our all volunteer league prior to, during, and following the season itself. If you choose not to work, you forfeit the bond, and those monies are used for equipment, field maintenance and capital improvements.
HOW MUCH IS THE FAMILY BOND?
The family bond is $50 and must be paid by all families at the time of registration. If you have more than one child you only need to submit and satisfy one bond.
HOW DO I SATISFY THE FAMILY BOND REQUIREMENTS?
You can satisfy the family bond by volunteering during the season. You can satisfy the bond by working the concession stands, selling spirit wear, work special events (opening day, picture day, golf outing, all-star day, etc.), field maintenance work details (this does not include normal maintenance before/after games or practices), or volunteering to assist with tournaments hosted in Mt. Olive.
NOTE: You must legibly sign the sign-in sheets as proof of your time worked. If no sign-in sheet is available written proof from an officer is required for you to receive credit.
