FYFA Committees
FYFA is looking for volunteers to help with many new committees. We welcome new and returning members to take an active role in running the association. Volunteering for a committee, especially chairing or co-chairing a committee, may fulfill a families volunteer requirement for the season!
Please remember that volunteering is an essential part of the success of the Falcon Youth Football Association. Without volunteers we cannot run this program for our children.
If you are family member of a player, no matter what your experience, your assistance will be welcome. If you are interested in volunteering for one of the committees below, please email the chair of that committee to advise them of your interest and find out how you can help. If there is no chair listed for the committee you are interested in, please email the Board of Directors at fyfafootball@gmail.com
EVENTS/BANQUET COMMITTEE:
The Events/Banquets Committee organizes and directs annual association events to build camaraderie for players and families. The Events/Banquet Committee will be responsible for reserving time and space for such events. The committee will advertise the event, sell tickets to the event, select the meal, decorate the banquet hall, and arrange that all audio visual equipment is in place for the event. For the 8th grade banquet, the committee will organize gifts, candy dishes and a video to be played before and during the meal. For a more detailed list of committee responsibilities click here.

BYLAWS COMMITTEE:
The Bylaw Committee reviews or proposes changes or revisions to the Bylaws of the Association. Majority vote of the Committee is necessary to determine the Bylaw changes or revisions to be proposed to the Board of Directors and should be submitted to the Board of Directors for final approval. COMMUNICATIONS COMMITTEE:
The Communications Committee organizes and maintains standard correspondence, including annual communications to the community, coaches, parents, and players. The committee works with local newspapers to promote FYFA and coordinates with the FYFA webmaster to publish information to the FYFA website. The committee also monitors the FYFA website, Facebook page and other social media pages to ensure information is current. The committee advertises open board positions, and publicizes key FYFA event calendar dates, including equipment distribution and all major preseason, regular season, and postseason events. CONCESSIONS COMMITTEE:
The Concessions Committee is responsible for providing the concessions stand with all supplies for any designated FYFA events. The Concessions Committee oversees the operations of all home game-day concessions. In addition, the committee will handle the operational, sales, shopping and management duties necessary to operate the concessions stand. ELECTIONS COMMITTEE:
The Elections Committee is responsible for collecting nominations for Executive Board candidates for election. The committee will create on-line and face-to-face ballots for elections, will run the election process, tabulate votes and disseminate results of the election. Members of the Elections Committee are prohibited from running from office in the year of their term of service.

EQUIPMENT COMMITTEE:
The Equipment Committee shall be responsible for organizing, accounting, inventorying and storing all equipment and uniforms. The committee will also assist the coaching staff in the issue and collection of all uniforms and equipment. It shall be the responsibility of the equipment committee and to submit a listing of equipment, which requires repair, reconditioning or certification, to the FYFA and WPRD.

FINANCE COMMITTEE:
The Finance Committee is responsible for all matters relating to the financial administration of the FYFA, preparation of the annual budget for presentation to the Board, and for arranging an annual audit of the books, financial statements, filing of local, state, and federal tax returns as required by law, and financial controls of the FYFA. FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE:
The Fundraising Committee is responsible for the investigating and implementing of fundraising efforts for FYFA. The committee is charged with obtaining annual sponsorships for FYFA and ensuring the proper paperwork associated with such is completed. MERCHANDISE COMMITTEE:
The Merchandise Committee manages the design, promotion and sale and distribution of all FYFA sponsored clothing and promotional items for the season. The committee secures and works with the apparel vendor and promotes and sells FYFA apparel through internet sales and home game sales. SAFETY AND MEDICAL COMMITTEE:
The Safety and Medical Committee promotes safety awareness and practice throughout FYFA. The committee maintains documentation that ensures coaches are certified in concussion awareness, CPR and the use of the AED device. The committee is also responsible for stocking first aid kits and ensuring there are adults at every game and practice that have access to and are certified to use the AED. VOLUNTEER COMMITTEE:
The Volunteer Committee engages parents and families with the youth football program in order to fulfill several roles that are the keys to success in hosting home games and the overall efficiency and success of FYFA. The Volunteer Committee will be responsible for recruiting volunteers for the following: concessions, chain gang, scoreboard operators, announcers, singer or recording of national anthem, fundraising and special events, and committee positions. The committee maintains records that document the volunteer hours performed by each FYFA family and submits said records to the Treasurer at the end of the season to determine which deposits checks are cashed and which checks are returned.
