Patuxent Rhinos  Football is a proud member of the Greater Metropolitan Youth Football League (GMYFL), is an established youth football program that serves youth football clubs from Northern VA to Baltimore. Registration/Equipment Distribution...

Online Registration is now open and will be available from June 1, thru Aug.15.  The Registration fee is now $175.00 per player. After Aug 15, the fee will increase to $200.00


Equipment distribution will start on Wednesday July 29th 6:30pm at the James Madison MS. Registration fees must be paid in full or Payment arrangement must be established before equipment is issued.  Players will be fitted based on the order of when they registered.

Please note that a $150.00 equipment deposit check dated December 15, 2015 is required, will not be cashed. All deposits are returned at the end of the season when your equipment/uniform is returned. You will be charged for any missing items that you were issued. Option#2 a $1.00 fee will be charged to your bank card with your card data. When equipment is returned the data is erased.


Refunds

In preparation for the season, the Patuxent Rhinos make sizable investment in equipment and uniforms based on the number of registrants. Please understand that we can not return these items when players decide to quit. As a result, there will be NO REFUNDS given after the first day of practice. All refunds will be assessed a $50 admin charge. Refunds as a result of some type of injury must be accompanied by a doctor's note.

The PATUXENT RHINOS 's payment methods are now limited to cash, credit cards or money orders. Please note that all credit card payments are subject to a non-refundable 5% processing fee.



Practice
Practice will begin on Monday July 20th from 6 - 8pm at James Madison MS and continue Monday thru Friday until school begins. Practice will be reduced to M, W, F a week prior to when school begins. Please bring plenty of water. It is also beneficial to drink water 1-2 hours before practice to ensure proper hydration. The dress code for the first three days will be shorts, practice jerseys and rubber sole cleats. Contact drills will begin on July 24th

Practice for the Mighty Tots (ages 5/6 Flag ) will begin on July 22 and will continue on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. There is a possibility that practices may also be held on Saturday mornings.



Team Placement
During the first week of practice, all players will be evaluated by the PATUXENT RHINOS staff and placed on teams according to age, experience and skill level. PLEASE note that parents will not be involved in this process. Players who come after teams have been formed will report to the "NFC Team" at their respective level for evaluation and team placement. Our goal is to have the majority of all teams formed by the end of the second week of practice.

Please note that parents have absolutely no say so as to what team a player is assigned to.  If you feel you can not abide by this policy, please do not register.



Scrimmages
All PATUXENT RHINOS teams may have up to 3-4 scrimmages (pre-season games) before the regular season begins on August 31st. Details will be provided by individual coaches. Scrimmages will be scheduled on Saturdays and possibly weeknights during August.


Regular Season
The PATUXENT RHINOS teams will open the season on August 31st (location & time TBA). Schedules for each PATUXENT RHINOS team will be on the site by the end of August after the GMYFL has certified all teams. 
Please note that we do play over the Labor Day Weekend.



GMYFL ID Policy

All players must have a Maryland issued identification card. Please visit the nearest Motor Vehicles Administration(MVA)office. Players must be accompanied by parents or legal guardians and must present their original birth certificate to the MVA. Please do not wait until the last minute. ID cards are normally mailed to your house and may take up to 2 weeks. You must have your ID Card in order to certify. This is a mandatory GMYFL rule.




Equipment

The PATUXENT RHINOS provides the following equipment: helmet, shoulder pads, game jersey, and game pants. All players must provide cleats, practice pants, 7 piece pad sets, mouth pieces, athletic supporters and practice jerseys. The club will have mouth pieces and practice jerseys for sale at equipment distribution in a limited quantity. You may also obtain these items from our sponsored stores TBA.

The PATUXENT RHINOS require an equipment deposit of $150 from each participant. The equipment deposit fee is refunded upon the return of all PATUXENT RHINOS  equipment and uniforms. (Deposit checks are not cashed...the PATUXENT RHINOS  holds them and returns the same check to you)
Deposits must be paid in full before equipment is issued. Players are allowed to keep their practice jerseys. All other equipment issued by the PATUXENT RHINOS  is to be returned.
Due to the non-return of equipment and uniforms in prior years, the PATUXENT RHINOS will enforce all equipment guidelines during the 2015 season. You will be charged for every item issued and not returned.
