M’Town Baseball Program

McCutchanville Baseball is implementing for ages 9-12 for 2016 a new program called “M’Town Baseball”.  This program is an expansion from our historical summer All-star program.  It is structured to provide additional opportunities for competitive and skilled players beyond the traditional summer months.  It will allow more travel opportunities.  Team tryouts will occur in the Fall and be based on a comprehensive process.  The M’Town teams can train and play in tournaments during the off season and will be permitted to participate in limited tournaments during the Spring Recreational season.  We believe by allowing the M’Town teams the additional competitive opportunities, our teams will be better prepared to make competitive runs in the Cal Ripken tournament trail.

Players in the M’Town program will be required to play in the Spring recreational program, represent McCutchanville in the Cal Ripken Tournament Trail and cannot participate on other baseball teams outside of McCutchanville.  Participation in the program will provide additional competitive opportunities, but it also will require greater commitment of time and financial resources by players and parents.  There also could be greater travel commitments.  Click Here for details of the Cal Ripken districts and eligibility for play at McCutchanville.

The combination of additional tournament exposure and National program games will provide M’Town players the opportunities to see weekly competitive action throughout the Spring and Summer.

 Summer All-Star Program

McCutchanville Baseball will continue to offer our Summer All-Star program for ages 6-15.  It is likely multiple teams will be fielded for the younger ages.  The summer program will also provide additional opportunities for competitive players, but in a more traditional time period.  Teams will be selected during the Spring based on the players game results, skills assessments, and coaches input.  These teams will play in tournaments during the Summer months and will be permitted, and in fact encouraged, to also participate in the Cal Ripken tournament trail.

Players in the All-star program must play in the Spring recreational program and cannot participate on other baseball teams outside of McCutchanville during the summer months.  Participation will provide competitive opportunities but not the same level of time and financial commitment as the M’Town Baseball Program.
