ANGELS WIN THE 2023 CPOT BASEBALL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

On August 20, 2023 at Rickenbaugh-Shirley Field in Mechanicsburg, the Lawnton Angels pounded out 21 runs on 21 hits, pitched effectively and played nearly flawless defense to
capture the CPOT League Championship for the second time in team history.  The boys came out of the gate like a possessed thoroughbred, and never looked back during the
contest.  A concerted team effort, the Angels saw the confluence of strategy and gamesmanship vault them to another title.  Simply said, ANGELS BASEBALL.

The Angels would like to thank the CPOT League Administration led by President Wayne Toomey, and all the other league representatives who acquired the venue,
came out to prepare the field and set the game in motion.  A special thank you to Jimmy Evans and his excellent crew of Umpires who called an outstanding game.

Another excellent season of hard work and decision-making by our fearless leader, Josh Curtis, whose efforts have been glaringly evident since he has assumed
the role of manager.  Another extra special thank-you goes out to our brilliant and energetic master statistician, Casaya Achampong, for her unwavering dedication
to keeping pristine records of all the Angels accomplishments.  **Looking forward to 2024!!
