Rays Nip Hackensack; Reds Win 3rd in a Row on Chris Lum's 1-Hit CG

Rays 5 - Troasts 4
The fish got off to a fast start tallying 4 in the first, however the Troasts bounced right back scoring 2 in the 3rd and 2 more in the 4th. Jim Fitzgerald hit a booming ground rule double with one out in the 6th followed by a Jamie Wollerman single and a SAC RBI fly by Jon Menge, which proved to be the winning run. Rob Frank once again was the iron man for the Fish lasting 6 innings (4R, 2 of them unearned) scattering 6 hits and striking out 6. Steven Kinzler came in for the save striking out 2. Rich Burner continued his torrid hitting with 3 hits and an RBI while James Dologhan has 2 hits including a 2 rbi triple. Wollerman also had 2 hits. Vinny DeSantis was a bright spot for Hackensack striking out 7 in 5 innings of strong relief, keeping the game tight and allowing the Troasts to chip away.

Reds 5 - Pirates 1
Chris Lum threw a complete game one hitter. He gave up 1 unearned run and struck out 6. Rayn Lapinski was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI's. Dan Limone was also 2 for 4 with 2 stolen bases.


Huskies Fleece the Pirates; SoX Smother Yankees

Huskies 4 - Pirates 1
Jason Nacarel earned the win on the bump allowing only 1 run through 4 innings of work and Joseph Argenziano registered a 3 inning save out of the pen as Dumont beat the Bergen Pirates 4-1. Stephen Stylianou went 2 for 2 with 3 RBI to pace the Husky offense. 

SoX 12 - Yankees 2
The SoX cruised to a 12-2 victory in Bergenfield and improved to 8-3 on the season to remain atop the standings.


Rays Hold on to Edge Yanks; Pirates Over Reeling Troasts; Reds Another Comeback for 2nd in a Row

Rays 5 - Yankees 3
The Yanks made things interesting with the tying runs on base in the 7th, but the fish held on to win their 5th in a row. The Rays scored first in the second via a Rich Burner double and a Zach Bailey sac fly, but the Yanks struck back with a sac fly of their own to knot it at 1 apiece. The Rays stung again with a 2 out rally with 2 singles followed by a an RBI bingle by Jon Menge and another 2 out 2 RBI single by Joe Zembryski. James Dolaghan doubled advanced on 2 WP's to score another run in the 4th giving the Rays a 5-1 lead. But a few BB's and a HPB gave Billy Malley the ammunition to stroke an RBI single giving the Yanks a chance with runners on second and third with one out, but Kevin Frank once again tallied another save by striking out the next 2 Yanks.

Pirates 8 - Troasts 3
Back and forth with multiple lead changes through the first 4 innings, the Pirates finally took the lead for good and sent Hackensack to it's 6th straight loss with a 8-3 win.

Reds 6 - Mets 5
The Reds scored 4 in the top of the 5th to go up by 1. Cameron Melone picked up his first win of the season with a scoreless bottom of the 5th. Andrew Mascis earned the two inning save throwing 2 scoreless innings yielding 1 hit and 4 K's. Rayn Lapinski (3 for 4 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI's) and Dan Limone (2 for 4 with a double and 2 runs scored) paced the Reds at the plate.


Dumont Evens Season Series with SoX; Mets Comeback with Late Homer; Reds Walk-off Yanks

Huskies 5 - SoX 1
Dumont's Chase Geisler spun a complete game one hitter striking out eleven along the way in Dumont's 5-1 victory. Adam Hebel provided the offensive spark going 2-2 with a double and an RBI.

Mets 4 - Troasts 2
Mason Baronian and Troy Karaty let up 2 hits up against the Troasts. Down by 1 left to the final strike Matthew Lalomia hits a bomb over the centerfielders head and round the bases with an inside the park 3 run homerun to take the lead in the top of the 7th. Garett Wiedemann, Tim Wise, and the Enrique brothers also with hits in the game. Hays and Camilleri both with hits for the Troasts.

Reds 6 - Yankees 5
The Reds scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 7th to win the game. Rayn Lapinskin got the game winning RBI with a walk. Jordan Manne picked up the win in relief throwing 2 socreless innings. He struck out 3, walked 1 and gave up one hit. Chris Lum also threw 2 socreless inning of relief to keep the Reds in the game. In Dan Limone's first game back from his injury went 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored and a walk. He also had a key bunt base hit with runners on 1st and 2nd in the Reds 3 run 7th.


MET LEAGUE CELEBRATES IT'S ALL-STARS IN WESTWOOD ON FATHER'S DAY!

Met League All Stars BLACK 5 - Met League All Stars RED 3
At Westvale Park in Westwood, All-star representatives from all 8 Met League teams competed for bragging rights on a beautiful Father's Day afternoon. Sporting their own franchise's caps, the teams wore Black and Red respectively, respresenting the host town of Westwood. It was the Black team coming out on top with a 5-3 win and JR Hilcher of the North Haledon Reds earning the game's MVP award.


Cautero leads Denizens of the Deep

Lou Cautero was in mid- season form tossing a complete game scattering 6 hits and striking out 10, as the fish topped the Mets in a well played contest. Cautero allowed a run in the first by way of a single , 2 HBP and a FC. For the remaining 6 frames the Mets arsenal could not solve the husky hurlers dominance. Jim Fitzgerald had 2 hits and 2 RBI's for the fish and Jon Menge chipped in with 2 base knocks, while Alex Enrique banged 2 hits for the Mets.


Delgado and Yanks Blank Pirates; Comeback Win for SoX

Yankees 5 - Pirates 0
Sergio Delgado fired a 1-hit complete game shut out to lead the Bergenfield Yankees past the Bergen Pirates.

SoX 6 - Huskies 3
Not once but twice with multiple runners on TJ Alcorn came through for the soX notching 3 RBI's on the night. Ray Moreta and Sullivan Bean also chipped in with huge hits as the soX were down 3 early in the game and scored 6 unanswered after the 3rd. Alex Cuoto came in and absolutely shut it down facing 11 hitters in 3 innings and sniped a Win. Kyle Seickle had a solid day for Dumont, on base twice, stole a bag and scored a run. Hebel also smashed a double in the 1st inning.


Pirates Over Reds 6-2

Pirates 6 - Red 2
Pirates improve their regular season record to 6-5 with one game left until the mid season break. In tonight’s matchup, the Pirates avenge an earlier season loss by defeating the #NorthHaledon #Reds by a score of 6-2. With the win, the Pirates are in great shape to finish strong before All-Star Sunday as they head to Bergenfield tomorrow to conclude their season series (split 1-1) with the Yankees


Yanks Rally with 4 in 7th to Stun Mets; SoX K 19 Reds in Shut out Win

Yankees 7 - Mets 6
After the Mets had taken a 6-3 lead with 4 runs in the 6th, Bergenfiekd answered with 4 runs of their own in the 7th for the last inning comeback win in Paramus. Juan Bautista got the win going 6 innings and Sergio Delgado has 3 hits for the Yanks. Andrew Enrique had 3 hits and Andrew Roidriguez 3 RBI for the Mets in the loss.

SoX 4 - Reds 0
Wes Albert and Nick Galese combined for 19 strike outs. Scattered 5 hits and only put one other batter on base. The soX had a huge first inning putting up 4 runs. RBI base hits by Adam Lutick and Ray Moreta were clutch. Sullivan Bean also had an RBI. Ryan Lapinski of the Reds is an animal and continues to own the soX going 2-3.


Huskies Knock off Reds; Pirates Beat Slumping Troasts

Dumont travelled to North Haledon Sunday evening and got out of there with an impressive 8-3 victory over the Reds.

Pirates 4 - Troasts 2
In the Sunday matinee at Westvale Park in Westwood, the Pirates topped Hackensack 4-2 and sent the Troasts to their 4th straight loss. Tommy Sharfetz pitched into the 7th, allowing only 2 runs on 5 hits, striking out 3, while earning the win. Marcus Monroe picked up the save, getting the final 2 outs. The Pirates offense totalled 11 hits in the win. The Troast Club dropped to 3-4 while the Pirates have climbed back to .500 at 5-5.


Solid Pitching and Sticks help SoX past Mets

The top 5 hitters on the SoX were on base 14 times on Saturday. Clutch base hits with multiple runners on base was the recipe for the SoX. Justin Ramos and Joe Impeduglia had huge 2 RBI base hits. Matt Tarabola and Max Maarleveld split the game on the mound giving up only a combined 4 hits. The Enrique brothers both had hits for the Mets as well.

Rob Frank recorded his third victory of the season navigating through 5 frames (4H 2R 8K's), the burly righty also aiding his own cause with a two run double. Jamie Wollerman and Rich Burner also added a pair of doubles knocking in one run each. Rookie southpaw Matt Kinzler closed the door for his second save of the year. Anthony Palmisano and Yeiver Torrealba each tripled for Buccos

Jose Marte went 5 strong innings allowing only 1 run on 1 hit with 6 strikeouts. Sergio Delgado homered for the Yanks and drove in 3 runs, and Andres REynoso had 3 hoits and 4 RBI to pace the Yanks offense to a 9-1 win over Hackensack.


Pirates Shock Yanks; Reds Win 2nd in a Row

Pirates 3 - Yankees 2
Down 2-0 in the bottom of the 7th, Tom Natoli tied ther game with a basehit and the Pirates went on to stun the Yankees in walk-off fashion.

Reds 3 - SoX 2
In a crisp well played game the Reds broke a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the 6th with a 2 RBI single by Ryan Lapinski (2-2 with a walk and 3 RBI's). Dan O'Neil picked up the win throwing 3 innings giving up 1 run on 3 hits. Kevin Reiner started for the Reds and gave up 1 unearned run over 4 innings. SoX Wes Albert was masterful over 6 innings giving up 1 run on 3 hits and striking out 12. After the first 2 runners reached in the 7th he was taken out but the 2 runs were charged to him.


Offensive Outburst in New Milford - Pirates Hand SoX 1st Loss with Walk-off in 9th

Pirates 13 - SoX 12
A back and forth battle between the SoX and the Bergen Pirates ended with the Buccos on top with a walk-off victory in the bottom of the 9th. Tom Natoli tallied 3 hits and 4 RBIs in the win while Dylan Maher knocked in 3. The SoX Jose Garcia went 4 for 4 with 3 runs scored and Jon Taylor had 3 hits and 3 stolen bases in the loss. Matt Clifford got the win with 4 innings of relief work for the Pirates.

Dominant Pitching from CJ Davies, Matt Ivanicki, and Andrew Rodriguez and stellar defense led the Mets to their fifth win. Alex Enrique with winning RBI in the 6th bringing in his brother Andrew Enrique. Garret Wiedemann, Evan Benier, and Alex Enrique all with multiple hits on the offensive side

Mascis fires CGSO 1-hitter and K's 14 for Reds; Rays Sting Huskies; Yanks Over Pirates

Reds 2 - Troasts 0
Andrew Mascis led the Reds going the distance for the shutout win. He gave up his only hit in the 6th inning with 2 outs. He struck out 14 and walked 1. JR Hilcher led the Reds at the plate going 3 for 4 with a double and the game winning RBI. Nick Ramagli was 2 for 2 for the Reds with 1 run scored and 2 walks.

Rays 4 - Huskies 1
Curt Arsi spun 6 scoreless frames(3H,6K's,4BB's) hanging on to a one run lead handing it over to closer Kevin Frank. Dumont scored the tying run on 2 infield errors but left the winning run second, Frank calmly got out of the jam with the score knotted at 1. The Rays promptly scored 3 runs in the top of the 8th highlighted by a Rich Burner 2 run double. Joe Z added 2 RBI's. Frank earned his second win in 4 days with crafty relief duty. The Rays crawl back to .500 at 4-4.

Yankees 6 - Pirates 1
Bergenfield banged out 10 hits on Sunday in Westwood en route to a 6-1 win over the Bergen Pirates. Four Yanks had multiple hits (Reynoso, Javier, Coughlin, Liriano), and went the distance for the win. Anthony Rucereto had 2 hits in the losing effort for the Pirates.

Ray Moreta had 3 RBI and Jose Garcia and Justin Ramos drove in 2 apiece as the SoX remained unbeaten, topping Bergenfield 9-6. Wes Albert struck out 6 in 4 innings to earn the win.


Rays Walk-off Yanks; Mets Over Reds

Rays 5 - Yankees 4
After the Yanks tied it in the topof the 7th, the Rays rebounded with the walk-off with in the bottom half in Rutherford Thursday night. The Barn Burner of a back and forth game ended with a Jim Fitz single with a drawn in infield scoring Mark Shenloogian following his lead off triple. Fitz and Shen both had 2 key hits for the Fish giving Kevin Frank his first W of the year. The win propelled the Rays to 3-4 while Bergenfield dropped to 2-3

Mets 7 - Reds 1
Anthony Schorling pitched a dominant 5 innings with only 1 run let up to lead the Mets to their league-leading fourth victory. Christian Alonso and Matthew Lalomia both had 2 RBI's each and Alex Enrique with an amazing performance of 3 for 3 which held up the offensive side. Tim Porfido and Garret Van Astyne both pitched an inning each of no run baseball.

Christian Alonso's 2 run homerun powers the Mets to their third win of the season. Matthew Lalomia, Andrew Rodriguez, and Evan Biener all collected multiple hits. Max Cue gets his third win of the year on the mound.

The North Haledon Reds scored 6 runs in the 6th inning to steal the victory from the Bergen Pirates in Westwood.

Yankees 6 - Troasts 4
Trailing 4-1, the Yanks scored 3 in the 5th and 2 in the 6th to complete the comback and hand Hackensack it's first loss.


Troasts Jump Reds Early, SoX Score Runs in Rutherford

Troasts 7 - Reds 4
Hackensack, behind a strong outing from starter David Baiza, scored 5 times in the first 2 frames and opened a 7-1 lead through 4 innings and held on for a 7-4 victory over the Reds in North Haledon. Baiza went 6 allowing only 1 earned and struck out 7. Donnie Hays had a 2-RBI single to highlight the 3-run first, and he finished with 2 hits on the night. Joe Witt was on base 3x and scored twice and stole a bag for the Troasts. Anthony Rossomado had 2 hits including a triple to pace the Reds offense. Andrew Mascias was stellar out of the pen for the Reds with 3 screless innings.

SoX 12 - Rays 8
SoX were selective and aggressive all night, drawing 9 walks and having 10 hits. Although the pitching was shaky, the offence scored in every inning but 2. Jon Taylor had a big night going 2-2, on base 4 times scoring 3 runs. Willy Mendez came in and shut the door in a big spot on the mound. For the Rays, Mark Shenloogian hit and absolute bomb triple late in the game, the same for Jordan Jackson who hit a homer and was on base 3 times for Rutherford.

The Bergenfield Yanks scored 2 in the top of the 8th and buckled down for the 6-4 win in Dumont. The Huskies were down 4 until the bottom of the 6th, where they knotted the game at 4, eventually sending it to extras. Eddie Javier and Sergio Delgado each smacked 2 hits and collected 2 RBI foir the Yanks. Blaze Martinez picked up the win with 2 scoreless innings. Kyle Seickel and Eli Slonim both had a pair of hits for Dumont.


Frank Brothers lead Rays over Reds, Pirates Over Mets in 9

Rays 7 - Reds 4
Rob Frank gave up 3 runs in the first and an unearned run in the 6th guiding the Rays to a win. Kevin Frank closed it out with some dramatics as the Reds battled back to juice the bases in the 7th but Frank held on. Rich Burner launched his first homer of the year and added 2 more safeties, Mark Shenloogian keyed three bingles and an RBI for his best game with the Fish. Jordan Jackson, Joe Z and Jon Menge each chipped in with RBI singles. Rutherford evened their record at 2-2 while the Reds dropped to 0-3.

Pirates 4 - Mets 3
The Bergen Pirates topped the Bergen Mets 4-3 in 9 innings. Christian Alonso had 2 hits for the Mets and starter Mason Baronian (no decision) struck out 9 Pirates in his 4 innings pitched. The win propelled the Pirates to .500 at 2-2 while the Mets dropped their first of the season and are 2-1.

Troasts 7 - Yankees 1
Jake Lutz broke up a 0-0 game in the bottom of the 5th with a 2-out, 2 RBI single as the Torasts went on to a 7-1 victory over the Yanks in Hackensack. Lutz finished with 3 hits and 3 RBI on the night. AJ Flores and Jesse Baiza also collected 2-out, 2 RBI knocks in the 6th to break it open. Speedy Joe Witt scored twice after 2 great ABs to get on base. Danny Poidamoni (2 IP), Ryan Sharkey (2 IP), and Jon Hornung (3 IP, W) kept Bergenfield at bay. Christian Loriano went 2 for 2 for the Yanks, who dropped to 0-2.

The Pirates got their first win of the '23 campaign with a 2-1 victory over the Rays in Westwood. The Rays wasted a stellar outing by Lou Cautero on the mound and a 3 for 3 night by Jamie Wollerman.

Mets 4 - Reds 3
The Mets got a run in the top of the 8th and held on for a 4-3 victory to improve to 2-0 on the young season.


Huskies Bounce Back for First Win

Kyle Seickel went 3 for 4 with 3 RBIs to lead Dumont over North Haledon for their first win. Dan Dripchak allowed only 1 earned over 5 2/3 to grab the win.


Traost Open with a Win, SoX Smash Job

Traosts 6 - Rays 3
Hackensack opened their season with a 6-3 win over the Rays in Rutherford. Ryan Sharkey got the win with 2 1/3 scoreless innings out of the pen and the Torasts welcomed back Donnie Hays to the club and he responded with 2 hits and 2 RBI. AJ FLores also had a pair of hits. Jamie Wollerman collected a pair of base knocks for the Rays,who dropped to 1-1 on the season.

SoX 14 - Pirates 6
Adam Lutick had 6 RBIs, and the soX had 10 hits and 14 total RBI's with 13 walks on the night. The SoX are 2-0 early, while the Pirates fell to 0-2.

Ray Moreta had 3 rbis while Wes Albert struck out 8 in 3 to set the tone.

Rob Frank opened his season with a gem tossing 4 shut out inning2 allowing 2H and 1 BB. The Fish banged out 10 hits 2 spearheaded by Jamie Wollerman and James Dologhan each had a 1B, 2B, and 2 RBI's. Joe Zembryski 2H, 2RBI, and Rich Burner with an RBI 2 bagger. MArk Shenloogian, Jim Fitzgerald, knocked in 1 , Jon Menge 2 RBI and new Ray Anthony Critelli scored 3 runs.

Mets 9 - Pirates 4
Bases clearing triple from Matt Lalomia and stellar pitching performance from Max Cue secured the win for the first game of the season
