Meet Coach Monroe

Coach Monroe is a basketball coach with 30+ years of experience working with youth athletes in the bay area. He is currently the Milpitas High School Girls Varsity Basketball Head Coach. He was the  the former  Silicon Valley NJB League Administrator, former Coaching jobs includes Piedmont Hills Girls varsity coach 5 yrs, Bellermine College Prep JV Basketball Head Coach and a Varsity Assitant Coach 1 yr, Chapter Director for the Berryessa/Milpitas NJB Chapter 10 yrs, Varsity Head Coach at James Lick High School (4 years) and the Founder/Director/Coach for the Bay Area Heat AAU basketball club.Coach Monroe has also served and volunteer with Berryessa community center (flag football and basketball), Berryessa Cougars, North Valley Soccer and Coyote Creek Pop Warner Football.  He has helped local youth Student/Athletes extend their academic and athletic careers at the middle schools, high school, college and professional levels.

Coach Monroe graduated from Linden Kildare High School in Texas, where he was a point guard on the basketball team and defensive back/receiver on the football team. He then attended Gavilan College in Gilroy where he played basketball and football, before transferring to Cal State Hayward,Ca where he played football. Coach Monroe also played semi professional football for the San Jose Bandits.

Coach Monroe is truly dedicated to the development of young student/athletes to help them grow confidence, fundamentals & self-esteem through his basketball camps and programs.

“My goal is to help the young students/athletes of today learn the fundamentals, good sportsmanship,self-confidence and life lesson through the game of basketball to help them develop the tools and skills necessary to be successful on and off the court of life.”
