1)      Is there a dress code?

There is no dress code, except no open-toed shoes at the snack stand. We recommend wearing clothes that are comfortable and that can get a little dirty.

2)      What is the cancellation policy?

It is possible that the snack stand could be closed because of bad weather or if games are cancelled or moved for another reason.  We may cancel the stand up to an hour before you are scheduled to work.  If your shift is cancelled by us, you are required to sign up for another shift. If two shifts are cancelled by us, you do not need to sign up for another shift.

13)  I’m running late! What should I do?

Try to get to the stand as soon as possible. Chances are good that someone else who you are scheduled with will hold down the fort until you get there. However, the Openers are only at the stand for about 15 minutes. If no one else is at the stand at the opening time, you will need to reschedule your shift.

14)  How is the schedule for the snack stand determined?

We try to schedule the snack stand for days when we know the fields will be busy.  This means we try to schedule shifts when there are multiple games going on at the fields. We also need to have someone available to open the stand. However, as we all know games are sometimes cancelled and moved around, which means it is possible to be working when there is only one game or a few practices going on. It is also possible that the stand will be closed when we have a busy day at the fields because we had no volunteers to open or staff for the stand.

15)  When is the SignUp Genius going to be distributed?

The first sign up genius will go out in mid-April.  However, it is likely that we will not have the whole schedule available at that time.  Be sure to check the Sign-Up Genius periodically to find a shift that works for you. We will send emails out whenever new shifts are added to the list.
