The CALI RAYS were invited by TBL to play in the first ever Cecil Fielder Spring Championship Tournament in Las Vegas, NV; along with top teams from Texas, Utah, Nevada and California. After a slow start on opening day, the boys picked up the pace and put on a hitting display which combined with strong pitching outscored the opponents 57-24 to help them win the Championship belts and bring their 8th title of the season to Southern California.
