MORRISONVILLE _ Five former Post 20 baseball standouts – Todd Wilkinson, Rob Calkins, Doug Kimbler, Jason Miller and Gus Terry- as well as, the 1969 New York State Championship team, have been selected for induction into the Clinton County Mariners Hall of Fame later this summer.

 

Todd Wilkinson

·         Four-season member of Post 20, 1977-80

·         Team captured District IV title in 1980

·         Four-year member of Plattsburgh High School, 1977-80

·         1980 CVAC Most Valuable Player

·         Charter member of the Plattsburgh High School Hall of Fame

·         Four-time letter winner at North Carolina, 1981-84

·         Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament MVP, 1984

·         Holds ACC Tournament Record for home runs & total bases

·         Earned All-ACC honors in 1984

·         Drafted by Montreal Expos, 1984, 15th round

·         Montreal Expos Minor League Player of the Month, July 1984

·         Currently the Athletic Director at Barton College in Wilson, NC

·         Compiled 496 wins as Baseball Coach at Barton College

·         Will be inducted into the Barton College Hall of Fame in October

 

Rob Calkins

·         Four-year member of Post 20, 1981-84

·         Selected Team Most Valuable Player in 1983 & 1984

·         Standout at Plattsburgh High School, 1981-84

·         CVAC MVP, 1984

 

Doug Kimbler

·         Three-season member of Post 20, 1985-87

·         Team captured District IV title in 1985

·         Standout at Beekmantown Central School, 1985-87

·         Four-time letter winner at College of St. Rose, 1987-90

·         Inducted into the St. Rose Hall of Fame in 2007

·         First-Team NAIA All-American in 1990, District 31 Player of the Year

·         Ranks in the top-10 all-time: batting average (.364, 6th), hits (212, 4th), runs (192, 2nd), rbi (160, 5th), doubles (50, 1st), triples (9, 3rd), home runs (26, 8th), walks (108, 5th), stolen bases (80, 3rd)

·         Drafted by Detroit Tigers, 1990, 23rd round

·         Played eight seasons of professional baseball

·         Currently the head baseball coach at New York University

 

Jason Miller

·         Three-season member of Post 20, 1987-89

·         Team captured District IV title in 1989

·         Standout at Plattsburgh High School, 1987-89

·         Hornets captured New York State Championship in 1989

·         Drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays, 1989, 42nd round

·         Four-time letter winner at College of St. Rose, 1991-94

·         Second-Team All-American, 1994, All-ECAC, 1993 & 1994, All-Region, 1992-1994

·         Ranks in the top-10 all-time: Batting average (.421, 1st), hits (221, 2nd), runs (145, 8th), rbi (184, 3rd), doubles (34, 6th), home runs (36, 4th)

·         Drafted by Texas Rangers, 1994, 24th round

·         Inducted into the St. Rose Hall of Fame in 2008

 

Gus Terry (1994-96)

·         Three-season member of Post 20, 1994-96

·         Team captured District IV titles in 1995 & 1996

·         Standout at Plattsburgh High School, 1994-96

·         Inducted into Plattsburgh High School Hall of Fame, 2013

·         Continued his baseball career at St. Rose, 1997, 99-2001

·         Led St. Rose to Division II World Series in 2000 – named Northeast Regional MVP

·         Earned All-Region 2000, All-Conference in 1999 & 2000

·         Ranks 5th all-time in wins (24), 3rd in strikeouts (277)

·         Played professional baseball in Spain

·         Inducted into the St. Rose Hall of Fame in 2014
