Here are the results/recap for Saturday, July 13 and Sunday, July 14

On Saturday, in the early game, Action Transportation came out firing and beat the Lia Group 19-9.  Winning pitcher all the way was Art Wise.  Losing in his pitching debut was Mick Murdick.  The second game, Gally's vs Legion was a real squeaker, with Gally's taking and early lead, but held scoreless after that and still held off a stubborn Legion team.  Final score was 6-5 for Gally's.  Winning Pitcher was Rusty Gallagher.  Losing pitcher was Kim Burns.

 

On Sunday, in the game at Ridgefield, Gally's came to play and took down an unusually light hitting Legion team 16-6.  While over on Harriet Myers Field, a depleted Lia Group had to forfeit to ROMO'S (1-0).

Batting Recap:
Saturday, for Action Transportation, Gary Onderdonk led the way with 5-5, including 3 doubles and 3 RBI's.  Gene Itri was 4-4 with a double.  Dan Daigenault was 4-5, with a triple and 4 RBI's.  The dynamic father/son duo of Matt and Steve Kawczak were each 3-4, and each with a double.  Art Wise was 2-3 with 2 BB.  Tim Walters was 2-5.  Hector Jimenez had a triple.
 
For Lia, Mark Roy and John Giarrusso were 2-3.  Mick Murdick was 2-4.  Kevin Washock contributed a double.
 
For Gally's, Jeff Prescott was 2-3, with 2 triples.  Steve Hughes was 2-3.  Rusty Gallagher had a SAC FLY.
 
For Legion, Ian Duckor was 2-3, as was Ralph Scunziano.  Jim Finn had a doulbe.  Bert Cromling has a 2 run HR.  He and Kim Burns each had 2 RBI's.
 
Sunday, for Gally's, Rusty Gallagher was 5-5.  John Hughes was 4-4 with a triple, homer and 3 RBI's.  Rick Wall and Steve Hughes were each 2-3.  Jeff Prescott was 3-5.

For Legion, Ian Duckor was 2-3.  Ralph Scunziano was 2-3.  Jim Finn had a double.  Bert Cromling had a  2 run HR.  Kim Burns had a double.
