Another day with excellent weather for a cross country meet. We've not run in the cold yet, but it has to be assumed that some days like that are coming up for the final 3 meets.
This was the smallest meet of the season, but still a decent amount of young athletes competing. The Fulton course was deceptively difficult, and a great challenge for kids. It was also great to see a few new 11-12 & 13-14 year olds show up to run. Thanks a lot Flash for hosting the meet. Here are the current STAR Standings including the results of this meet. For some reason, there are blank pages in between each age group. Sorry about that.
Next up is the CMAC championship meet in Boonville on Sunday, 10/30. That meet will begin an hour earlier than the other Sunday meets. So, be ready to start the walk at 1pm. Also, as announced at the Fulton meet, we would like to take a group photo of all teams together on the big hill near the baseball field in Boonville. This will happen before the course walk. So, please try to be there early enough to do this. Please get your teams finalized for the Boonville meet as we'll be giving team awards. If anyone has been added to your team, then we need the YES forms and the $15 for new athletes to be considered on a team.
Finally, here are the documents for Regionals & Nationals again. Please review and respond to COMOCMAC@gmail.com with any questions. We want a nice sized squad to go to Indiana.
Qualifying & More About the Nationals Trip
As mentioned last week for those of you that are choosing to be part of the CMAC All-Stars for regionals and nationals, we plan to have an all-team practice in Columbia at A. Perry Philips Park (5050 Bristol Lake Parkway). This will be the final Saturday (11/12/16) before nationals at 10:00 am. A meeting with parents & coaches as well as a Q&A session will take place.
We'll be seeing you next time in Boonville. Very happy that A&W Restaurant is sponsoring that meet!
