10/15/17 - CAPITAL CITY YOUTH XC MEET RESULTS 

It turned out to be a wonderful XC weather day.  Yes, there were soggy spots, yes, there were slippery spots, and yes... WE ARE RATHER SURE that at least the 2K was probably a little shorter than we thought.. but it was nice seeing the athletes compete hard.  So, when you see some of those 2K times, please keep that in mind.  It is likely that the shorter 2K contributed to some of the 3K times being faster, but after looking at times, the 3K times are not a ton different from times we've seen from the kids in the past.

Thanks a lot to everyone that volunteered.  We cannot make these meets happen without your help.

There is only one more CMAC meet this season, and that will be Sunday, October 29 in Fayette at the golf course.  That schedule will follow the same as the Jeff City meet.  So, expect a 1:00 optional course walk, and a 2pm start for the first race.  We do want to keep with our tradition of taking a full group shot with all of the teams before we get started that day.  So, it is up to you if you want to be part of this or not, but we'll get all of the kids together and take a group photo before the course walk. You do not have to wear anything special, just your regular team shirt.  Be prepared for this around 12:45.  This shot will be sent to our sponsors.

At the end of the CMAC championships in Fayette, we'll award everyone as usual, but we'll also hand out plaques for team awards to coaches and award our S.T.A.R. winners.  So, stick around!  Chances are it will be a cooler day, so bring your warm ups to wear before and after races.  This will be the case for regionals and nationals.  Take care of your bodies!  Speaking of the CMAC championships, don't be shocked if you see a few young athletes show up from the K.C. area to amp up the competition in Fayette which is something that we'll need leading into regionals.  Embrace it and prepare to run / compete harder.  We don't want anyone feeling totally comfortable, because regionals will not be comfortable.
