The 16u Jays played their second game of the day and their third game of the Blue Chip Prostpects Tournament in Diamond Nation. The Jays went up against the B45 Nation and both teams put on a defensive display.
The game remained scoreless until the 4th inning when the Jays' lead off batter worked out a walk. The next batter hit a single, advancing the runner to 2nd base. The Jays capitalized on an errant throw to the outfield when their runner hustled all the way from 2nd base to score the games' only run.
The East Coast starting pitcher, Austin Prendergast threw 4 innings of no hit ball and struck out 4 batters. The Jays' bullpen yielded 1 hit in relief and also struck out 4.
The 16u Jays improved to 3-0 in the tournament, allowing only 2 runs while scoring 19 runs. They face the LI Storm Black tomorrow for game 4.
