ELROSA--The Elrosa Saints earned a 7-1 victory over the Sauk Centre Titans Wednesday night to retain the coveted "10 mile up the road trophy." The Saints didn't waste any time getting on the board as they scored one run in the first inning and one run in the second inning to give Elrosa starter Cody Eichers more than enough runs. Eichers pitched well into the seventh inning and looked sharp on the other side of the battery. Ethan Vogt blasted a two run home run in the third inning to boost the lead to 4-0 and the Saints tacked on lone runs in the sixth, seventh, and eighth innings to put the game out of reach. Brady Weller pitched a scoreless 8th inning and Eddie Martin pitched a scoreless 9th inning to complete the victory. Brandon Roelike, who has already put in a half a work week, reached base three times including a double and a single, while catching eight innings. Ryan "Big Chief" Illies drove in two runs and Cody Douvier scored a run while playing a flawless right field.
