2024 Division Champions

March 6, 2024

Congratulations to our 2023-24 I-270 Division Champions!

Bethesda Bantams, Potomac Juniors and Bethesda Seniors. The Potomac Juniors will represent I-270 March 23&24th, in the Joe Jones III cross county tournament at Hood College in Frederick, MD

The #3 seed Gaithersburg Bantams coached by Mark Simmons, Chris Apo and Ty Sanders were led by the offense of Tj Sanders and tough defense from Amir Ali but in the end it was clutch scoring by game MVP Luke Hottel and Cam McCormick down the stretch that powered Bethesda to a narrow come from behind victory with Hottel scoring the last 7 points for Bethesda. Bethesda was led by head coaches Adam Leucking and Marc Hausman whose game strategy contirbuted to Bethesda's victory. Congratulations Bethesda Bantams!

The Junior Championship featured a return matchup between #2 seed Clarksburg and the #1 seed Potomac. Each team featured extremely skilled and athletic players. Clarksburg coached by Vik Dua was led by Jordan Boyd, Dylan Turner, and incredible 3pt shooting from David Lin. But as was the result last season Potomac coached by Tino Nyawata, Dave Winokur, Claude Young, and Uche Nachuwku overcame an early deficit to storm back late in the second half led by game MVP Eli Jah and Kevin Roth. Congratulations Potomac Juniors!

The Senior championship also featured a rematch from last year's finals with  the #1 seed Bethesda coached by Adam Luecking against the upstart #7 seed Darnestown coached by Greg Garrett and Shaun Taylor. Bethesda had again domindated the regular season with a combination of skill, athleticism and high basketball IQ. But even with all their talent the surging Darnstown team which started the season 1-9 held a lead during most of the first half led by Declan Boisi and Kai Taylor. But in crunch time Marc Goldman, Jack Wills, and game MVP Connor Leucking proved too much and led Bethesda to a back-2-back championship. Congratulations Bethesda Seniors on a repeat championship!
